Final Pc Build Questions

I finally purchased all of my pc parts and as i patiently (not really) wait for them to arrive i would like to know the performance i can expect from the final build.Amd Athlon x2 5000+ 2.6ghz2 gigs of ddr2 memory500gb hardrivehd 4850650w antec psuI only have a 17'' crt monitor but i really like the quality of it so im not looking to upgrade it anytime soon, its max/native res is 1280x1024. What performance can i expect from crysis, farcry 2 and fallout 3?Final Pc Build Questions
Pretty good system, CPU maybe a bit of bottleneck of GPU, should do well in Crysis at 1280x Ultra high, then beyond that resolution tone down the settings.Final Pc Build Questions

I thought vista 32 maxes out at 3 gigs... or is that xp? anywho, would i get these results with the system i currently am planning to build?Can i max out farcry 2 at 1280 x 1024?Max out crysis or nearly max it out at 1280 x 1024?And can i max out fallout 3 at 1280 x 1024?

So that computer can only get medium at that res? i have checked with other people and they have all set high/very high

Your CPU leaves a touch to be desired and could impair your GPU since you would ideally want around 3.0 Ghz for Crysis. You should be able to play high with no AA etc. but medium with more bells and whistles
Alright, so I can expect high on crysis? This is a pretty big technological jump for me since im used to getting around 10fps on half life 2 at 800x600 and consider it playable. So if i can get high on crysis can i max out anything else right now? and expect the to get high settings on games that should come out in the next few months?

World in Conflict, The Witcher, Far Cry 2, all have some pretty beastly requirements. You will be able to play high on pretty much everything. Oh wait, you are playing at 1024x1280, you should be fine then.
Yep, im playing on my 17'' crt monitor it has a max res of 1280x 1024...so will i be able to max it or still just high?
Oh yeh it depends muchly on your OS as well, only Vista can handle DX10 which will hit your a bit more than windows xp's DX 9 only, so thats a bit of a factor as well...The 4850 is a good card, med/highBut as i said the 5000+ is really nothing special, for example an Intel E5200 is about eqivalent to a AMD x2 5600+ i think so your CPU is like a low end core 2 duo, (i am more used to seeing things in Intel) so saying that it's actually not that great a CPU.....You might want to overclock a bit and then maybe you can hit high at 1280x, but i wouldn't get your hopes up.

Why did you go with only the x2 5000? I just upgrade from the x2 4200 to the x2 6000 for only $92 with free shipping. I guess you can save for a better C.P.U down the road and of course a better monitor, but you will be fine for now.

Crysis will not run on Ultra High at 1280x1024 on a HD4850. It doesn't on a HD4870. You can expect to run the game with all settings on High.
haha yea i figured, no worries, but either way i can't even be safe to expect high?
