Is a new video card enough for my PC?

I was thinking about upgrading to a 9800 GT but I'm not sure if that's enough or even possible with my current system. I'd upgrade to an x2 6000 or 6400 too.. for a decent cheap upgrade without changing out the motherboard.

If my 4200 works a 6000 should work too, right?

just googled that mobo it has a socket 939 you cant upgrad to 6000+ x2 you might aswell go intel cos you need a new motherboard and ram cpu etc
