OCing a e7200

I tried ocing for the first time
and i failed miserably XD

I don't know what to exactly change in the bios settings.
I changed something to 200 which is the max and if I put it
any higher the system doesnt boot.

There isnt alot to change in the bios settings...

my specs:
motherboard GA-945pl-S3
Intel E7200
Geforce 9800GTx+
2 GB Ram
500 wat PSU
Windows XP

not sure what else to sayOCing a e7200
You have Intel Speedstep turned on!It reduces your multiplier to X6 to save energy while you don't need the extra power. You should really turn this off in order to see your overclock working correctly.Go into the BIOS and turn it off. It may be under a four letter code name that contains 'IS' in it, can't bloody remember the word. Either way just disable it! OCing a e7200
Also don't randomly change settings hoping it will work you could break something. What is your default multiplier? If it's 12.5 like my E5200, up the FSB from 200 (should be that as standard) to about 240, and see if it boots. Should get you to 3Ghz. Anything higher, and you'll require probably a little voltage boost. I wouldn't touch this if you don't know what your doing though!
the e7200 is an oc champ, on stock voltage i have it at 3.2ghz running very stable. i could go higher, but i would have no need to.
