Right well I originally planned to get hold of a Thermaltake Blue Orb II, but I'm pretty sure it will hit my ram and Northbridge heatsink as I know it's huge! (140mm wide). Does anyone with a Neo-F P35 have one of these fitted or know if it would or wouldn't be obstructed by anything?!If that doesn't work then I'm gonna get an Akasa 965BL (it's the blue LED one). Thing is despite the good reviews, somebody mentioned to me on another forum that it was 'crap'?! Anyone here have any first hand experience of it? CPU Cooler need a little info!
Get the thermaltake ultra 120 extreme, its the best air cpu cooler.CPU Cooler need a little info!
Get the thermaltake ultra 120 extreme, its the best air cpu cooler.
its not thermaltake... its thermalright, and hes asking about the one he wants, i say go with the blue orb, aint that big
Would definitely prefer the Blue Orb, but having measured out a 140mm circle and placed it where the cooler would go in my case, it looks as if it would hit the ram and the northbridge heatsink. Not sure whether to risk getting one, as they do perform better than the Akasa and they look good.
look at the xigamatek HDT-S1238
Depending on how high the NB heatsink is, it should fit just fine. It is higher than the RAM, and most NB's.Here is a pic of mine when I had it installed on my pld PC.
on the thermaltake website they have a motherboard compatability guide for their coolers!
Thanks for that pic.It looks like my heatsink will be OK as it's very slightly lower than my ram, BUT my ram seems alot closer to the CPU than yours does on that motherboard? My ram is roughly 15mm away from my stock Intel cooler, which makes me think the Thermaltake Orb would hit it... I understand it's almost like a mushroom shape so if it raised up high enough it would hopefully clear it.Also thanks for the info on Thermaltakes website listing compatibile mobo's, will have a look now! :)
