How will this setup handle newer games?

Hi all.Let this be clear, my knowledge about computers parts are zero lol.Anyways, i've asked my friend to build me a computer which will handle new games fairly well. I'm talking Far Cry 2, Crysis etc. These are the parts he had in mind for my new computer :MOBO : ASUS P5N32 E-SLI PlusRAM : OCZ ReaperX 4096MB DDR2 PC6400 KIT @ 800Mhz (8 Gigs) GFX Card : XFX GeForce GTX 280 602M 1GB OS : Vista Ultimate x64BitHardisk : Revoltec 500gbHow would you rate this setup? Will i be good for a while not needing any more upgrades? How will this setup handle newer games?
Sorry forgot to add the CPU : Intel Q6600 @ 3.2MhzHow will this setup handle newer games?
Sorry forgot to add the CPU : Intel Q6600 @ 3.2Mhz
If you are going to overclock that Q6600 then great choice!Anyway there is no point in getting Vista Ultimate, apart from that you have chosen a blazing rig...why not get a 4870X2 ;)

8GB of RAM is completely unecessary. 4GB is more than enough for right now and in the forseeable future. And as previously stated, Vista Ultimate is a waste of money over Home Premium. Also, who the hell is Revoltec? They don't make hard drives that I know of. And your list is incomplete - you need a power supply and case, which are actually somewhat important choices (very important, in the case of the power supply).
Sorry if there's lack of info there, as i stated i'm not a computer guy :) I asked him and he said i'll be getting a 800W Power Supply. As for the hardisk, i dont know either :)

I'd try to get the Corsair TX650w instead, you'll probably save some money, and odds are pretty good that you'll get a better unit.
Thanks for your input, much appreciated :) I'll see what i can do with the PSU.
