Specs:Core 2 duo @ 2.2 GHz8800GT 512mb2 gigs ddr2 667186 gig harddrive 7,200 RPMI cant even run it smoothly with all settins on medium and anti aliasing turned off. Also recently i've been experiencing lag on cod4 and in the past i have been able to run it fine. My parents put spyware on my computer to monitor what i do and what websites i visit...so maybe thats slowing it down. My 3dmark06 used to be around 10.6k and now its 8.3k. Whats going on?? Mid range rig cant run Far Cry 2 smoothe ...
Its your processr. If you overclocked earlier, your overclock may have been set back. If not that, then maybe you have a power saving option turned on in your bios.Mid range rig cant run Far Cry 2 smoothe ...
its got to be your computer...Im running 8800GT, 4 gig ram, 3.0gig core duo....a little more than what you have but not much really...i am running it at 19X12 very high settings with zero lag or frame rate drop really. Stupid spyware software is a system resource hog...has to be some way to disable it.
It's probably that ''spyware'' program...
It's the spyware program for sure, download Malware-Bytes and remove it.I have a C2D 2.2 Ghz aswell, but a weaker graphics card, the 8800gs, and I run FarCry 2 at a mix of high, medium, and very high settings at 1680 x 1050, and I get 30FPS+.
See if you can get into the systems registry or services and disable it.
Somethings definitely wrong, I can play it on very high DX10 @ 1680 x 1050 at 45FPS average on the benchmark! My 8800GTS is overclocked, but still you shouldn't have problems although your processor is slightly under powered.
yea, somthing is definitley wrong, i can play on high with a ati hd3650, a core 2 duo 3.15ghz, and 2 gigs of ram. you should be maxing it. virus maybe? are your video drivers up to date?
Heres what im going to do: Re install windows to completely swipe any possible viruses, and also get rid of the spyware my parents put on my computer. Also I'm going to set all bios settings to default to ensure that there are no power save options enabled. If this doesnt fix the problem i'm doomed.

I also have an issue where the first time through it runs really poorly, but the second time through it runs almost 300% faster. My guess it's a memory leak issue or a loading issue.
