Is 650W a large enough power supply?2. I'm not 100% set on the mobo I picked out. So if anyone can link me a better one in the 80-100 dollar range it would be appreciated. Not lookin to SLI FYI. Hows this build I just made...?
bummmmmmmmmmpHows this build I just made...?
Looks great to me, and the power supply seems fine for what you want to run. The only thing i would pull you up on is having a 1TB HDD and a 500GB HDD. You may aswell have one or the other. I personally dont think you should just have the one 500GB hard drive since i dont think you will need 1TB.Everything else looks great, just make sure your CPU is supported by the motherboard, go on the ASUS website and look at the supported CPU list or something like that, I think you will be fine though :)good luck
Looks great as long as your sure everything is compatible with each other.Your PSU will be more than enough for that, I think they prefer you to have a 20% Wattage over what is required. So im sure that will be Fine.
it looks good to me i think you have have gone a bit too far on the HDD space your going to use 64 bit os right?
Well I realize the HD's might seem like overkill to some...I bought a 500gb external Hd like 6 months ago and it getting pretty filled. I keep alotta TV shows and movies on there. HD .mkv video files of a 23 minute episode run around 270-300 MB's dependin on the quality.I was planin on getting just a 250 gb and then a 1TB but the 500GB is only a bit more for double the space lol. I'll prob use the 500gb internal HD for my programs, the 1TB for media and then turn my 500gb external into a backup HD. And yea I'm gettin Vista 64 bit. But on the mobo, P35's are still ok and not outdated? I was looking at P43/45's in the $80-$100 range and I couldn't find a real benifit towards one or the other. Anyone know a significant difference in the P35 and P43/45's?I was lookin at this one: MSI P43 Neo3-F LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel MotherboardAnd looking at this other P35 mobo GIGABYTE GA-EP35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel MotherboardAnyone have any opinions on the brands? My buddy's tryin to talk me into gettin an MSI pretty bad.
