Is there a huge difference between the two? I have been looking at getting the 9800gtx+ because I have heard it to be a good card. I have been looking at the 4850's as well but I think I will be doing the steup up program to the gx2 or gtx260 in 3 months after I buyt the 9800gtx+ if they have gone down in price enough. Thanks 9800GT vs 9800GTX+
not a huge diffrence but if your goner upgrade soon get the 9800gt9800GT vs 9800GTX+
What GPU are you using right now? What are your system specs? What resolution do you play at and what games do you intend to play? Answer these questions and we can give you a more specific answer. If you want benchmarks, look at this preview of the 9800GTX+. I believe that the 9800GT is the same as the 8800GT, so look at that card for comparison.
8800GT, 9800GT, 9800GTX are all the same card basically, with minor performance differences. Get an hd4870 or gtx 260.
I would go with a HD4870 if you can afford it. :)
GTX+ is OCed and supposed to be 55nm.
9800gtx+ definetly! :)
Wouldn't the 4850 be a better alternative?
not since the 180.43 drivers from nvidia they give upto 30% boost in dx10 games
Wouldn't the 4850 be a better alternative?
Only if the price is right, the 9800 gtx+ is a better card. The the option to step-up helps as well.
