FarCry2 and ATI users(check this out)

If anyone has been having problems with random stuttering and slow downs while running DX10. I may have found a solution. I wont take credit for it but I found this on the ubisoft. Im not sure if this will work for all ATI cards but it has seem to worked for the 4800 series atleast. When you start the game up in DX10. Press the tilda key to enter the console. Now in there type ''gfx_maxfps 30'' you can set it to whatever but 30 has seemed to work very well. I played for about an hour or so with no problems or hick ups what so ever. Please people try it out and get back to me if it works since its worked nicely for me. Enjoy.FarCry2 and ATI users(check this out)
Thanks for the info. I just installed the game but haven't had a chance to play it yet. If I encounter that problem I'll give it a shot.FarCry2 and ATI users(check this out)
ATI recently released a hotfix for far cry 2.
hotfix does not solve problems just performance in most cases

although the max fps thing can solve stutterign as it can in most games, its still doesnt solve the problem that when enabling DX10 the screen always goes windowed and freezes if you try to maximise which is BS!

Ive been able to keep my game maxamized in DX10. Also I never said it would fix the windowed thing. I said it would fix stuttering.
TC - do you just need to apply this once and it stays, or do you need to apply it every time you start the game?
