Eh guys (or girls)Just wondering can i overclock my CPU (P4 @ 3.6Ghz STOCK!!!!!!) on a Intel LGA775 (D945GTP) Board? Could I also get a guid to doing it?If so what parts can i buy to keep temp's low while running games like Grid,Crysis or Cod 5 At high res?1 important thing!!!!I live in South Africa and the currency (rands) against Dollar is lets say Lofty.So i need the price as low as Possible while keeping Quality high.Thanks Aoe3_gamer aka Mr South Africa( I wish )Can I Overxlock this?
If you are going for high end cooling you are talking about water cooling and for the same price you could probably get a newer processor for the same price. As for fans, take a look at the Zalman range of coolers. The CNPS8700 is quite good and not too expensive, doesn't sound like a freight train either. But to be honest it sounds like a P4@3.6 is already going to be running hot and using quite a lot of power so overclocking it will exacerbate the problem.Can I Overxlock this?
Should be able to OC it if the Bios allows certain things to be changed like the FSB, VCORE, RAM/CPU fregquency ratio, RAM Speed...
