Ok, I built a new computer and I want to know if the Nivda Geforce 9800 GTX (I think that is what it is called it comes with Call of Duty 4) is decent. Also for some reason my sound on this computer is not working. WTF is wrong, ok I didn't install a sound card i'll do it later. I'm using some new $200 intel motherboard i bought. Any suggestions on what's wrong with my sound card? Or if my graphics card is good. Noob PC gamer needing help
The graphics card is a good mid-range card. The sound issue is probably due to old drivers. You can find the new drivers on the Intel website.Noob PC gamer needing help
Go to intel.com, and go to your motherboards (the one you bought) drivers. Download the audio ones. You shouldnt have bought an intel board tho man, they dont overclock well. The 9800gtx is a great graphics card. Call of Duty 4 is a lasting game.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150292 this comes with cod4 its a 9800 gtx(G92) and for ur sound prob update ur drivers see if that works or not.
Ok, I'll try finding some updates for my motherboard.
Graphics card is good. I used to run a single config of those and it flew when playing CoD4 (over 100fps max).
Ya i have a 9800GTX and can't complain about anything. crysis runs at above 30fps most of the time on high, but does struggle at certain parts, typical though. Overall its awesome, best graphics i've ever seen.
Ok, I downloaded these BIOS updates for my motherboard and my sound STILL isn't working. I don't have Vista yet or my new harddrive in yet, but the sound should still work right?
google it and try and find sound drivers for ur intel board
google it and try and find sound drivers for ur intel board
Did you know that it's illegal to use google as a verb?
no and lots of ppl adivse others to use it....
go to control panelgo to sound speech and audio deviceslook where it says soundclick on sounds and audio devicesclick on audiochange the default playback device to your sound cardit will most likely say something like 9800GTX HDMIchange it to your sound cardyour computer probably thinks you're going to use HDMI to supply your computer sound, however if you are not using that cable you will need to disable it
