nVidia is not like ATI and makes their own GPUs.

i recommend you go slap your friend with a big wet fish for his stupidity there all same card just different logo accept for the other companies tend to have factory overclocked cards which cost a little bit more

Nvidia doesnt make graphics cards, just the gpu on the graphics cards. Its up to the manufacturer to put different coolers and other ports onto the card.

basicly lmao he bought that same card and he said that he can play cod 4 only on med while the other cards like eVGA, BFG, XFX can play high lmao basicly he just bought a regular geforce card. i tried to tell him its trash get a better one but he didnt listen all he said that it was two times better than eVGA,XFX,BFG and i just laughed in his face
For that price you can get a 9800GT.
Nvidia do actually make their own cards, but not consumer grade geforce cards, only the quadro and tesla range. This doesn't make them any faster though, they just use higher quality components and are much more durable (and expensive!).
And they're for workstations.

SO not only is it a piece of crap with 512 MB of DDR2, LOL, it is also not made by Nvidia. Yeah you have every right to laugh in your friends face, I would too.
they are all basicly the same, some just have higher clock speeds or better coolers

Get a nivida Evga BF or Zotac install it then show him how it sruns games and how good they are then unistall the card and smack em maybe He would gain some sense lol and actrually reserach before he bashes things :p
