Getting rid of startup dialog

How can I get rid of the ''Starting up...'' boxes that pop up when I turn my PC on? I did this years ago but can't remember how it was done. I'm running Win2K.Getting rid of startup dialog
if your talking bout programs that start up when your pc sta\rts, go to run type msconfig hit enter and then go to the startup tab and uncheck whatever you dont want to run when windows bootsGetting rid of startup dialog
I'm not talking about the programs, I'm talking about the ''Startings windows...'', ''Loading your preferences...'' and ''Applying your preferences...'' boxes that pop up durring the Windows boot up.
Finally found the fix I was looking for.Not Displaying Logon, Logoff, Startup and Shutdown Status Messages

To turn these off:

1. Start Regedit
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion policie ssystem
3. If it is not already there, create a DWORD value named DisableStatusMessages
4. Give it a value of 1

Worked perfectly. Just a clean screen on startup and log off.
