Data Execution Prevention (DEP) question ...

I have been making maps on Gears of War for about 3 months now, but it keeps on stopping when I'm trying to view the files to extract and put into the game and it says: ''DEP has blocked this program from viewing files for a risk of infection/virus''. It says that there is a way to dissable this setting only for Gears of War but I'm a bit concerned. If I enable Gears of War to be able to brows my files, would it put my computer a potential risk of hackers? Thanks in advance :)Data Execution Prevention (DEP) question ...
Nope, it's not connected to the internet, that is just ultra high security, the risk is very low...
